Prayer Ministry

Our History

CCIC is an elder-governed non-denominational church. It traces its root back to 1969 when some graduate students from San Jose State University formed a Bible study. By 1971, this group grew into a church, formally known as Chinese Church in Christ (CCIC). Over the years, our church grew to include Cantonese and English congregations, along with children and youth ministries. We praise God for the privilege of leading many people to Christ, helping them to mature in Him, and equipping them for the work of the ministry. As our church grew, we planted several other CCICs in the Bay Area: Mountain View, South San Jose (South Valley), Milpitas (North Valley), Cupertino, and Central San Jose.  North Valley planted its own church in Pleasanton (Tri-Valley).  Since each church is designated by its location, our church became CCIC-SJ.

The Prayer Ministry brings our thanksgiving, needs, and desire to be better followers of Christ before God’s throne of grace.  We also pray that God would work through His church for the advancement of His kingdom.

We meet in the Church Library on Sundays at 9:05 a.m. to intercede in prayer. We also meet online on Thursday via Zoom (Meeting ID: 586 805 6275 with the Passcode: 1490).
